My travel bug came at an early age when my family and I emigrated to South Africa when I was 8 years old. I love South Africa and try and return every couple of years to explore more of the country.
At the age of 21 I spent the summer as a Camp Councillor at Camp America in Connecticut and after camp I ended up living in Florida for the next 2 years cleaning mega yachts! A few years later the travel bug caught me again and this time Australia beckoned where Perth was my home for the next year and a half.
Since then I have taken time out to visit Asia, New Zealand, Canada and the Indian Ocean. Rarotonga holds a very special place in my heart as that’s where I got married – proposal to wedding in 3 days! I love to cook and always try to take a cookery lesson whenever I travel so I can try it out on all my family and friends back home.
Having worked for Trailfinders and Abercrombie & Kent it is lovely to be working for a smaller company where I can use all my experience from tailor-making a luxury holiday to building a round the world itinerary and looking after my clients from start to finish.
After college in Birmingham I went off to Camp America
I worked at Trailfinders for 7 years then Abercrombie and Kent for 2.5 years.

A good conclusion
Sam Kelly-Shaer and I have been discussing my travel plans for quite some time. The booking I made and paid for today was prepared by Sam and it looks like a good deal !
Sam has visited:
Upcycling anything I can get my hands on.
A dive instructor somewhere exotic or game driver in Kruger National Park.
Botswana - its simply breath-taking.
Phone, first aid kit, ear plugs, sarong, pens.
A bit of both.
Cape Town, for the people, the food, wine and the majestic Table Mountain.
Taking a cruise to South Africa when my family and I emigrated.
South Africa, Botswana and Canada.
So many to choose from, but I think Sonora Resort on Sonora Island, British Columbia Canada. The amazing helicopter flight from Vancouver to Sonora Resort is breath-taking. Watching Grizzly Bears in their natural habitat was spectacular. Also, the Sanctuary lodges in Botswana and Zambia, which are set in stunning landscapes.
It has to be Exuma in the Bahamas. Simply stunning, where stingrays play at your feet and the water is ridiculously clear.
Rarotonga, Cook Islands – it’s where I got married!
Japan and Ethiopia (I can’t decide between the two).
Deep fried tarantula.
Give me a ‘Braai’ any day (it’s a South African BBQ)
Camp America in the USA, Australia – a bit of everything.
China - everyone just stares at you!
A proper cup of tea.
