I was born and raised in a small rural area in Germany called Eifel. With its rolling green hills and endless fields, it always reminded me of the Shire of the Lord of the Rings. At the age of 19 I decided to leave and – much like Bilbo Baggins – go on my very own adventure. Next to crossing rivers and climbing mountains, I became a nanny in New Zealand, backpacked through Australia and South East Asia, studied Tourism Management and Globalisation in Europe, did some more backpacking in the Americas, worked as a Travel Consultant in Ecuador and Germany – and now I’m in Brighton.
I studied International Tourism Management in the beautiful Netherlands before moving to the wild North and doing a Master’s in Globalisation, Brands and Consumption in Sweden.
I gained my first experience in the travel industry at a local family-owned tour operator in Quito, where I tailor-made individual itineraries throughout Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. After returning to Europe I started working for the German tour operator Nomad Reisen, who specialises in adventure and cultural travels throughout Arabic destinations.
