I grew up in Brighton and gained the travel bug at an early age. I have worked in a number of different roles in the travel industry from being a flight attendant to running a company in Africa.
I joined Travel Nation in 2018, and before that, I worked in South Africa running a Cruise company based in Cape Town. This was an amazing experience where I got to work with some fantastic people and got to see the stunning country.
Working as cabin crew – I was lucky enough to work for an airline that flew to unique destinations.
I worked in the Travel industry for 14 years before joining Travel Nation.

A great service!
Quick, friendly, efficient staff at TravelNation who had my trip planned out within a week. Andy was extremely helpful answering all my questions and provided me with multiple itineraries and made plenty of helpful suggestions to get the most out of my trip!
Andy has visited:
Brighton & Hove Albion. I have followed the Seagulls for years and am happy now that they are a premiership side.
New Zealand, a country with stunning scenery, amazing people and fantastic food.
When I travelled with my brother to Nicaragua. I am usually an upmarket traveller liking the nice hotels, however my brother wasn’t, so we backpacked most of the trip and hiked and camped up a few volcanos. Travelling like this really opened my eyes to the country.
This is a tough one… South Africa, New Zealand and Nicaragua.
12 Apostles Hotel, Cape Town. Great hotel from the stunning rooms to exceptional service.
Whitehaven beach in the Whitsundays, untouched white sand beaches with the sea that’s nice and warm to walk into.
Sierra Leone. Not many tourists have been there, the country is untouched by tourism, the beaches are quiet and beautiful, the scenery inland green and lush and the people are lovely.
The Galapagos – would love to see the wildlife and uninhabited islands.
Deep fried cockroach in Phuket, Thailand. I did this as forfeit when travelling with colleagues a few years ago and will never do it again!
I have worked in Cape Town, managing a cruise company, I did this for 12 months and it was a great experience.
Sydney – lots to do, from climbing the Harbour Bridge to dining in one of the many restaurants.
