Day 1: Arrive in New York
On arrival in New York hail a taxi and head for your hotel, where you will stay for 4 nights.
Day 2: Day at leisure
In the morning you will meet with your wedding coordinator and will then need to drop in to the City Clerk’s office to obtain your marriage licence.
With the rest of the day free it is time for sightseeing, and in New York there is absolutely loads to do. We can offer tours to many of the iconic sights, including The Empire State building, scenic helicopter rides or an evening at one of the world renowned Broadway theatres.
Day 3: Day at leisure
You will still have numerous sights to see but with the wedding day tomorrow now is the perfect time for some serious shopping. New York is renowned for its iconic department stores, with bargains to be had on all sorts of designer labels. Having said that, for pre-wedding jewellery purchases, an hour or two in Tiffany’s may be the way forward!
Day 4: Your wedding day
Having previously gone through the details of the ceremony with your wedding coordinator, now is the time to let the “big day” roll! You will be driven from your hotel to Central Park in a traditional New York cab, where on arrival you will head to your chosen venue, taking in the beautiful and romantic surroundings.
After the ceremony why not head to one of New York’s fine restaurants for a celebratory meal?
Day 5: Fly to Miami
Let the honeymoon begin! Check out of your hotel, grab a cab and set off to the airport for the 3 hour flight, heading due south to Miami, your home for the next 2 nights. After checking in to your hotel venture out to South Beach for an early evening cocktail in one of the many hip bars, which are perfect for people watching, with the added bonus of having the sparkling blue ocean and the long sandy beach as your back-drop.
Day 6: Day at leisure
With plenty still to see and do in Miami you can either explore locally or a day trip to the Everglades National Park (easily accessible from Miami) is a great place for a wildlife cruise. You are likely to spot several of the hundreds of species of birds that live there and also the native crocodiles and alligators!
Day 7: Drive to Key Largo (Approximate driving time 1 hour 30 minutes)
After picking up your rental vehicle the road tip can begin. The first stop is Key Largo, renowned for being a water sports paradise with superb snorkelling, diving, sport fishing and dolphin encounters.
Day 8: Drive to Islamorada (Approximate driving time 30 minutes)
The picturesque Islamorada is home to water sports galore, endless sandy beaches and burgeoning boutiques. It is definitely a place to relax, enjoy your surroundings and savour the fine, fresh seafood.
Day 9: Day at leisure
Make the most of being able to do as little or as much as you please, and perhaps opt to just chill out by the pool or on the beach.
Day 10: Drive to Marathon/Duck Key (Approximate driving time 1 hour)
Duck Key is located in the middle keys and is great for everything beach related, offers lovely accommodation and a number of fun and lively restaurants.
Day 11: Day at leisure
Day 12: Drive to Key West (Approximate driving time 1 hour)
When you get to Key West you will have completed the journey to the most southerly point of the United States. In the early evening Mallory Square is home to the daily sunset celebration, with jugglers and tight-rope walkers on hand to provide the entertainment. From here move on to one of the many open-air bars, cafes or restaurants and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Key West.
Day 13: Day at leisure
With your road trip coming to an end make the most of your lovely surroundings during the day and then perhaps head out for a celebratory evening meal. What better time to reflect on your recent wedding and honeymoon!
Day 14: Drive back to Miami (Approximate driving time 3 hours 30 minutes)
After breakfast check out of you hotel and drive back to Miami Airport to catch your onward flight.
