    Embark on an amazing 7-day trip where you will get to visit Sydney and its iconic landmarks before heading out on a mini self-drive adventure taking in both the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley. Experience the natural wonder of the Blue Mountains, with its steep cliffs, eucalyptus forests and crashing waterfalls, before heading to the picturesque Hunter Valley to visit one of the many vineyards in the area, made famous by its delicious food and wine.

    Day 1: Arrive Sydney

    On arrival at Sydney airport, you will be met and taken to your hotel by shared transfer.

    The rest of the day is yours at leisure to explore the city.


    Days 2 & 3: Sydney

    You have two full days now to explore Sydney, so why not head down to the harbour and join one of the many boat cruises to see the harbour bridge at its best? Take a stroll to Darling Harbour and enjoy some lunch and a glass of wine as you watch the world go by.

    We've included a illi-Langi The Rocks Aboriginal Dreaming tour. This 90 minute tour takes you for a leisurely walkabout with an Aboriginal guide in The Rocks in Sydney. It's the perfect way to explore this area and gives you the opportunity to discover how the ancient Aboriginal DreamTime is still alive within the modern Sydney landscape. You'll learn about the billion-year-old harbour, marine environment, sandstone strata, waterways, flora and fauna and how it shapes Aboriginal thought and behaviour.


    Day 4: Sydney to Blue Mountains

    You will pick up your rental car today and drive almost 3 hours to your next stop, Katoomba – the gateway to the Blue Mountains. Known for its dramatic scenery, this region encompasses eucalyptus forests, waterfalls and villages, a perfect place to enjoy some great walks and take in the views.

    Spend your afternoon exploring these stunning surroundings. If you would like to extend your stay here we can suggest nearby accommodation, ask your consultant for more details.


    Day 5: Blue Mountains to Hunter Valley

    Depart the Blue Mountains region at your leisure today, you have a 3-hour drive ahead of you taking you to Pokolbin, only a short drive from Hunter Valley.

    The rest of the day is yours at leisure, relax at your resort enjoying the scenery, go for a swim in the pool and take some time to decide which vineyard to visit the next day.


    Day 6: Hunter Valley

    You have a full day now to spend in Hunter Valley. There are many activities to enjoy from the resort, from Segway tours, horse riding and cooking schools to wine tours, grape stomping and barrel rolling. After a busy morning, why not head to the massage centre for some rest and relaxation?         


    Day 7: Hunter Valley to Sydney

    It's time to head back to Sydney today, leave Hunter Valley at your leisure to make the 2-hour journey back to the city where you can pick up your onward travel plans.

    The car can be returned either to the airport or the city depending on your onward travel plans.


     

    The summer season in Sydney and the surrounding areas runs from November to March, with hot sunny weather expected daily. Winter can bring cold and rainy conditions and runs from May to October. Christmas and New Year are peak times for travel to Sydney, meaning prices are high and availability less.
