Day 1: Arrive in Lima
On arrival into Lima you will greeted and taken to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free at leisure to explore the city or relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Day 2: Morning City tour in Lima
This morning you will be taken on a city tour of Lima where you will get to see the Presidential Palace and Lima Cathedral before heading to St. Francis church to visit the collection of old books and network of catacombs. Once you have seen historical Lima it is off to the modern Miraflores and San Isidro districts to end your tour at the ‘Love Park’ located right in front of the ocean and home to the ‘El Beso’ (the kiss) statue.
The afternoon is free at leisure.
Day 3: Lima to Cusco
After breakfast you will be taken to the airport for a flight to Cusco.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
In the afternoon you will enjoy an afternoon city tour and visit some of the most important buildings in Cusco starting with the Cathedral in the main square. The Cathedral is one of the most spectacular Spanish colonial churches in South America and houses around 400 colonial paintings from the Cusco art school.
You will then head to the Sacsayhuaman fortress, built by the Incas this huge structure was built in the 15th century and how it was built remains a mystery to this day!
Finally you will visit Puka Pukara (which means red fortress) an architectural complex thought to have been used by the Incas in ancient times, after the tour you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 4: Full Day Trip to Pisac
Today you will visit Pisac, known for two reasons; the craft market and for having one of the most impressive complexes of terraces in the valley. The market has dozens of stalls selling products crafted by local residents, a perfect spot to grab some souvenirs!
After lunch you will head over to Ollantaytambo, the fortress at Ollantaytambo is a major archaeological site and although called a fortress this was in fact a ‘tambo’ town, a place for long distance travellers to rest up before continuing their journey.
After the tour has ended you will be returned to your hotel.
Day 5: Full Day Machu Picchu
Today will be unforgettable as you visit one of the seven wonders of the world - Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu (meaning ‘old mountain’) is the most important archaeological site in Peru and is believed to have been a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca Pachacutec. Your tour will start with a train ride to Aguas Calientes, this town is the last stop before the entrance to Machu Picchu and is home to a crafts market and various restaurants.
Once you reach Machu Picchu you will have time explore this ancient city before returning by train to Ollanta and being transferred back to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 6: Free Day Cusco
Today is yours at leisure to explore the city of Cusco or take another trip to Machu Picchu.
Day 7: Cuzco to La Paz
You will be transferred in the morning to the airport to connect with your flight to La Paz.
On arrival you will be greeted and taken to your hotel.
In the afternoon you will enjoy a half day city tour of La Paz, this city will transport you to a mysterious past, a living history where round any corner an adventure may begin! You will visit the indigenous, colonial and modern areas, Indian Market , Witch Doctors Market and the Moon Valley, a clay formation resembling the face of the moon before being returned to your hotel.
Day 8: Full Day Lake Titicaca
Today you will make the journey to Lake Titicaca where you will take a Hydrofoil cruise to Moon Island and visit the Sun Virgins Temple before continuing to Sun Island. Here you will visit the Inca Grand Stairs and the Sacred Fountain.
After lunch you will visit a handicraft market and cruise to Copacabana where you will visit the shrine and the Dark Indian Virgin. Finally you will overland to Huatajata and visit the Andean Roots Eco Village, The Altiplanico Museum, Mud Igloos and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. After all this action you will be taken back to your hotel for a well earned rest!
Overnight in La Paz.
Day 9: La Paz to Buenos Aires
You will collected and taken to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.
On arrival you will be taken to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours at leisure to explore the city.
Day 10: Buenos Aires
This morning you will be taken on a morning city tour to enjoy the most interesting places of this fascinating city. You will visit the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Colon Theatre as well as the La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo and Recoleta neighbourhoods.
The afternoon is yours at leisure.
In the evening there will be an optional visit to the Tango Show in Café de los Angelitos where you will see different variations of this passionate and fiery dance!
Day 11: Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu
You will be collected from your hotel and taken to the airport to connect with your onward flight to Puerto Iguazu.
On arrival you will be met and taken to the Argentine side of the falls to experience this magnificent natural wonder and the surrounding rainforest. You will be taken on an electric train through the park before heading on a walking trail for a more intimate view of the falls. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform on the very brink of the Devils’s Throat, make sure you pack your courage!
Afterwards you will be transferred to your hotel on the Brazilian side of the falls.
Day 12: Iguassu
After breakfast you will be driven to the other side of the falls located within the Iguacu National Park through 25kms of pristine Atlantic Forest and lush vegetation. On the way down you will get glimpses of the 275 falls that form Iguassu Falls, a walking tour will then take you to the bottom to a lookout where a glass elevator will move you slowly up the cliff for a spectacular view of the whole of the falls and surrounding rainforest. This is truly is a trip to remember!
Day 13: Iguassu to Rio de Janeiro
After check out you will be taken to the airport to connect with your flight to Rio de Janeiro.
You will be greeted on arrival and taken to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken on a tour of the city and Rio’s historical centre. The tour covers four centuries of history from the Sao Bento Monastery in the late 1500’s to the modern chamber of commerce. You will then continue to Praia Vermelha and the Sugar Loaf cable station. On the journey up you will stop at Morro da Urca (Urca Mountain) before heading to the Sugar Loaf to experience a breath-taking view of Rio de Janeiro, if possible stay to witness the spectacular sunset over this truly magnificent city!
Day 14: Rio de Janeiro
Today is yours at leisure to enjoy and explore the hidden treasures of Rio.
Head down to Copacabana Beach or join the optional Corcovado Tour to visit one the wonders of the world; the statue of Christ the Redeemer, which crowns the top of the Corcovado Mountain with stunning views of Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf and the beaches below.
Day 15: Depart Rio
Sadly the tour ends today with a transfer back to the airport to meet your international departure flight.
