Enjoy a week-long Mozambique beach stay at the luxury Machangulo Beach Lodge, where your stay is all about pure relaxation and getting back to nature. Spend your days strolling along the golden sands spotting shipwrecks and whales as they breach straight off the coast, or try diving, snorkelling or deep sea fishing. The lodge’s spa guarantees relaxation where you can enjoy a massage or facial overlooking the ocean. The drinks service on the beach means you can simply lay back and enjoy the sun!
We can combine stay on Mozambique’s beaches with a visit to Namibia or South Africa to create a longer itinerary with inbuilt relaxation – just ask.

On arrival in Maputo, you will be met at the airport and driven to the jetty where you will take a one and a half hour boat ride to the hotel, checking in for six nights.
On arrival, you will be greeted by staff singing a welcome song to you on the beach. Step off the boat, straight into the ocean and you have arrived! This remote lodge is located on a peninsula where two currents meet and the views are incredible; with nothing but golden sands and turquoise water as far as the eye can see.
There is plenty to keep you busy at Machangulo Lodge. Deep sea fishing is popular and boats head out most days looking for a big catch, snorkelling and diving are available or you could head over to the island across the way for a beach picnic. Walks along the beach lead to a washed-up shipwreck or you can head off behind the lodge to tramp across rolling sand dunes. The other direction leads to a calm bay that’s perfect for swimming and if you walk far enough, you’ll come across a tiny beach bar shack, perfect for a refreshing drink before heading back.
Take one final stroll along the beach before taking the boat back to the mainland, where you will be met and taken to the airport in time to catch your onward flight.
Southern Mozambique experiences a wet season between December and March, much like the rest of Southern Africa. By around April the rain stops and the sun comes out, leading into the dry season between June and October, where perfect sunny weather is the norm.
