    Day 1: Arrive Port Douglas

On arrival into Cairns Airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to Port Douglas, only an hour’s drive further up the coast. After check-in, the day is yours to relax and explore the area.

    Day 2: Port Douglas

We’ve included a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef today and what better way to see this celebrated sight than from the comfort of a luxury sailing catamaran? Enjoy morning tea on board as you make your way out to sea before stopping at key snorkelling spots to see the reef in all its glory.

If snorkelling doesn’t take your fancy, you can simply relax on board, on the beach or take a ride in the glass-bottomed boat.

    Day 3: Port Douglas

Enjoy a day at leisure today relaxing by the pool, strolling Four Mile Beach or wandering around the boutique stores of the town centre.

We’ve included another unique experience this evening - a Rainforest Dining Experience. You will be collected from your hotel and taken to an intimate marquee enclosed by the rainforest. Wander through a candlelit forest to your dining destination,  where you can enjoy a sumptuous, locally sourced six-course tasting menu and a selection of homegrown wines in this most intimate of locations.

Day 4: Port Douglas to Daintree Rainforest

After breakfast, you’ll be collected by a private car for the 30-minute journey to Silky Oaks Lodge. This luxury boutique eco lodge is nestled in the depths of the Daintree Rainforest, hovering above the Mossman River below. After you’ve checked in, why not spend the remainder of the day soaking up the sounds of the rainforest whilst laying in your hammock in your private treehouse?

    Days 5 & 6: Daintree Rainforest

The next couple of days here are at leisure so you can be as active or relaxed as you wish. There are plenty of complimentary activities available from guided walks, kayaking, snorkelling and mountain biking. There are also optional extras you can choose (not included) like a crocodile and bird spotting safari, ziplining, indigenous experiences and helicopter tours.

We've included a Ngadiku Dreamtime Gorge Walk. This tour is conducted by the local Indigenous people; you will be guided along private, gentle tracks, past culturally significant sites and over gushing rainforest streams. You'll begin with a traditional 'smoking' ceremony, to cleanse and ward off bad spirits. After this, your guide will lead you through the lush rainforest, explaining about traditional plant use, bush food sources and ochre painting. At the end of the walk, you'll enjoy a traditional bush tea and damper, the perfect end to your aboriginal journey.

    Day 7: Depart Cairns

After check out, you’ll be taken by private transfer to the airport to continue your onward journey.

In northern Queensland, there are benefits to visits at any time of year. December to February signifies the ‘wet season’, which means wet and humid conditions, however, this also translates to very little wind and so excellent visibility in the water. The humidity drops in April onwards, which is considered the start of the ‘dry season’ so it can be a cooler temperature but a little windier. October and November are peak dive months.
