Day 1: Arrive Iguazu
Once you have landed, you will be met at arrivals by your driver and be transported by private vehicle to the hotel where your guide will help you through the check in process. Whether you are landing in Foz do Iguacu (in Brazil) or in Puerto Iguazu (in Argentina), hotel Das Cataratas is between 30 and 40 minutes’ drive.
The rest of the day will be free for you to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities at your own leisure.
Day 2: Full Day private tour of the falls – Argentina side
You will be picked up in the morning after breakfast by your driver and guide for the day. The tour will last approximately 6 hours so make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Once you arrive at the Guest centre we suggest buying some snacks and drinks as opportunities to buy these inside the park are quite limited.
The Argentinian side has two thirds of the falls and offers you the twin experiences of both seeing and hearing the falls up close. There are trails and two circuits around the park so you can admire the natural phenomenon from different points of view.
If you are feeling adventurous and you want to see the falls from another perspective – from the river itself - why not add to this itinerary a trip on the Gran Aventura boat? With this powerful boat you will bounce into the lower Iguazu River Canyon and bordering San Martin Island you will reach the Tres Mosqueteros Fall (Three Musketeers). At this point you will be able to see both the Argentine and Brazilian sides and the Garganta del Diablo. At the end of this trip you will experience a baptism shower at the bottom of San Martin waterfall, the biggest cascade any boat may endeavour. A wonderful and unforgettable experience just remember to bring your waterproofs!
Day 3: Half Day private tour of the falls – Brazil side
Today you will be picked up after breakfast by your guide only as Das Cataratas Hotel is inside the park and within walking distance to the falls.
Today’s tour will last approximately 2 hours and the Brazil side tour will offer you a more panoramic view of the falls, perfect for beautiful postcard pictures! You will have the opportunity to walk along the trails to appreciate the landscapes and the different points of view that the park provides. After the tour you will have the rest of the day to return to the hotel and enjoy its amenities.
Day 4: Depart Iguazu
This is your last day in Iguazu. After breakfast you will be picked up taken to the airport for your onward flight. If time allows, why not take a last stroll to the Iguazu falls to capture the last pictures of one of the world’s most amazing natural wonders?
