Explore Iguazu Falls from your base at the luxury Iguazu hotel, the Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas. As the only property within the Brazilian side of Iguazu National Park, you’ll be just a few minutes’ walk from the falls and have time to view them in the morning and evening before and after the crowds.

With its elegant decor, the Belmond is perfectly suited to couples and ideal for families, and its setting is an oasis of calm with space to relax on the veranda or under the palms that surround the pool.

We’ve included two guided tours, so you have the opportunity to admire the 275 cascades from both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides, including the spectacular ‘Garganta del Diablo’ (Devil’s Throat) – a once in a lifetime experience of this natural wonder.

This itinerary can be tailored to suit your requirements; please contact one of our consultants to start planning your dream trip.

    Highlights

    • Stay in relaxed elegance at The Belmond Hotel das Cataratas, close to the falls
    • Visit Iguazu Falls from both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides
    • Walk through the Argentinian side of the National Park for a close look of the falls
    • Enjoy the breath-taking views of the falls from the Brazilian side of the park
    • Admire the Garganta del Diablo and feel the power of this majestic cascade

    Day 1: Arrive in Iguazu

Once you land, you’ll be met and driven by private vehicle to the hotel where your guide will help you through the check-in process. Whether you land in Foz, do Iguacu (Brazil) or in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina), hotel Das Cataratas is about a 30-40 minute drive.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities at leisure.

Day 2: Full day private tour - Argentinean side

After breakfast today, you’ll be collected by your driver guide and taken for a full-day tour of the Argentinean side of the falls. The trip will last approximately 6 hours so make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

The Argentinian side has two-thirds of the cascades and offers you the twin experiences of both seeing and hearing the falls up close. There are trails and two circuits around the park so you can admire the natural phenomenon from different points of view.

If you’re feeling adventurous and you want to see the falls from another perspective – from the river itself - why not add to this itinerary a trip on the Gran Aventura boat? With this powerful boat you will bounce into the lower Iguazu River Canyon and bordering San Martin Island you will reach the Tres Mosqueteros Fall (Three Musketeers). At this point, you will be able to see both the Argentine and Brazilian sides and the Garganta del Diablo. At the end of this trip you will experience a baptism shower at the bottom of San Martin waterfall, the most significant cascade any boat may endeavour. An excellent and unforgettable experience but remember to bring your waterproofs!

Day 3: Half day private tour - Brazilian side

Today you will be picked up after breakfast by your guide, as Das Cataratas Hotel is within walking distance of the falls.

Today’s tour lasts around two hours and offers a more panoramic view of the falls, perfect for photos. You will have the opportunity to walk along the trails to appreciate the landscapes and the different points of view that the park provides. After the tour, you will have the rest of the day to return to the hotel and enjoy its amenities.

    Day 4: Depart Iguazu

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airport for your onward flight. If time allows, why not take a last stroll to the Iguazu falls to capture the last pictures of one of the world’s most amazing natural wonders?
