On arrival at Rarotonga Airport, you will be greeted by a local representative and taken to your hotel to check in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Days 2 and 3: Rarotonga

You'll have two full days on Rarotonga to relax and recharge. Why not hire some bikes and head off to explore the island? With only two roads running around the circumference of the island, it's impossible to get lost, and there are plenty of secluded coves and beaches to discover along the way. Alternatively, head to the beach to enjoy water-based activities straight off the coast.

Day 4: Rarotonga to Aitutaki

This morning will be collected from your hotel and taken by shared transfer back to the airport, where you'll board your domestic flight to Aitutaki. Just 45 minutes later, after a breathtaking journey, you will arrive on this picturesque island. On landing, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 5: Aitutaki

Today is free until the late afternoon when you will set off on private sunset cruise over Aitutaki Lagoon. You'll sail to Honeymoon Island before enjoying a champagne toast as you watch the sun set over the water. As you sip champagne, you will cruise to the motu. Here, you can take a barefoot walk along the beach, snap some pictures and even head into the water for some snorkelling before heading back for dinner.

Day 6: Aitutaki

Today is your final full day in Aitutaki, so why not head back out onto the lagoon or arrange a picnic on the beach? Alternatively, relax in your luxury resort and take advantage of the on-site spa with a traditional Polynesian massage - the perfect way to unwind at the end of your trip.

Day 7: Depart Aitutaki

You will be collected from your accommodation today and taken to the airport by shared transfer to connect with your flight back to Rarotonga and onwards.

The Cook Islands are a great year-round destination with temperatures ranging between 18c and 28c in the winter (October to May) and between 21c to 29c in the summer (November to April). The Cooks has a pleasantly even climate year round with no real weather excesses, although it can often rain, thanks to its high inland mountains. The best time of year to visit is around September/October when you will find warm temperatures and low humidity, also March/April when the weather is generally beautiful and sunny.
