Itinerary in brief:

Day 1: Arrive in Salvador
On arrival at Salvador airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 3-night stay.
Zank hotel is in the sought-after Rio Vermelho district, a few steps from Patience Beach. It’s a sophisticated property with stunning sea views and elegant rooms, and you’ll be served a delightful breakfast in the morning, all included daily with your stay.
Day 2: Private Salvador city tour
This privately guided tour is a journey through the history of the city of Salvador as well as Brazil, visiting the most important monuments in the colonial centre.
Your tour begins at Farol da Barra and continues to Porto da Barra, with its two protecting forts of Santa Maria and San Diego. Next, you’ll visit the neighbourhoods of Corredor da Vitória, Piedade and Campo Grande, before heading to colourful Pelourinho, with its charming colonial houses and stone-paved streets. Pelourinho is an important centre of culture and entertainment, with many museums, restaurants, theatres and squares, so we’ve included lunch at a local restaurant here. Pelourinho is one of the most beautiful districts and the symbol of the city, with a great collection of colonial architecture, including the baroque church of Saint Francis Church, with its gleaming gold leaf interior.
Day 3: Praia do Forte
This morning you will be picked up by private transfer and taken to Guarajuba Beach for some relaxation. Swim in the crystal clear waters, practice some water sports or simply unwind and enjoy the downtime. This idyllic beach has a colourful combination of coconut trees, white sand, blue sea and rustic beach huts on the shore that serve delicious seafood snacks.
Early in the afternoon you’ll be picked up and taken on a tour of the lovely village of Praia do Forte where we’ve included lunch at a local restaurant. Don’t worry; there’s more beach time! Why not clock up a few more hours in the sun and make the most of the natural beauty that makes this place wonderful!
Day 4: Salvador to Trancoso
Today you’ll be collected from your hotel and taken by private transfer to Salvador airport for your flight to Porto Seguro. Once you arrive, you’ll be met and driven by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 2-night stay.
Your hotel, Pousada Tutabel enjoys a privileged position right on the beautiful sandy shores of Itapororoca beach. It’s a cosy, boutique property with excellent service and first-class gastronomy with plenty of opportunities to relax and take things easy - breakfast will be served any time of the day and wherever you wish within the pousada.
Day 5: Free day
Why not spend today making the most of your pousada’s setting and beautiful beach? If you fancy a break from the sun and want to try a local restaurant for lunch or dinner, we suggest visiting the town of Trancoso, only 8 km away.
Day 6: Trancoso to Corumbau
You will be collected from your pousada today and taken by private transfer to Corumbau, approximately 150 km away. On arrival, check in your hotel for a 3-night stay.
Fazenda Sao Francisco is a beautiful boutique property with an eco-focus with just ten rooms, all with porches looking out to the ocean. The hotel is part of an old coconut farm located in a paradisiacal setting, surrounded by colourful cliffs, white sand beaches and turquoise sea. Breakfast is included daily with your stay, and the restaurant offers lunch and dinner characterised by regional dishes made with local produce. The Fazenda’s organic farm provides most of the fruits and vegetables on offer, which makes your stay even more local and authentic.
Days 7 & 8: Free days
Spend these free days soaking up the Brazilian sun and making the most of the lush surroundings and your Fazenda’s facilities.
We can add several activities if you wish, for instance, why not sail in a private motorboat and visit the nearby village of Caraiva to enjoy a delicious north eastern Brazilian meal? You can also explore the beaches by bike or on horseback, or kayak through Corumbau River and mangroves. If you visit between July and November, it’s the humpback whales season in the nearby Abrolhos archipelago, and you can add a boat excursion to see these gentle giants!
Day 9: Depart Corumbau
You will be collected from your Fazenda any time today and taken by private transfer to Porto Seguro airport to connect with your onward travel plans.
