    Itinerary in brief:

    • 4 nights aboard the Tip Top III

    Day 1: Arrive in Baltra

This morning, you’ll take a flight from Ecuador’s mainland to Baltra, arriving around 09:30 in the morning. When you arrive in the Galapagos Islands, you’ll be greeted by your guide and meet your fellow passengers. After a short bus ride to the pier, you’ll board the yacht and set sail on your Galapagos Islands cruise. Your first stop will be Playa Las Bachas, famous for its resident pink flamingos. You’ll also have some free to swim and snorkel in the waters surrounding the island. Back on the boat, you’ll be served a delicious dinner while you’re briefed on tomorrow’s landings and excursions.

Day 2 to 4: Life aboard the Tip Top III

Your days on the yacht will all be different, helping you get the very best out of your time aboard. Each day, after breakfast, you’ll set out on a wildlife excursion led by your expert guide. Among other highlights, you’ll visit Darwin Bay to observe frigate birds, herons, boobies, turtles, marine iguanas and more. You’ll also stop at South Plaza, where you can enjoy the antics of the local sea lions. There will be plenty of time for snorkelling and, after lunch, the yacht will set anchor on different spots for you to explore. After an active day, you can relax in your comfortable cabin or soak up some sunshine on deck before dinner is served.

    Day 5: Disembarkation

This morning, you’ll squeeze in one final early excursion, before setting sail for the pier. You’ll arrive back on land around 9 am and your transfer bus back to the airport will be waiting. Here, you will wave goodbye to your guide and board your flight back to mainland Ecuador.

There isn’t a bad time to visit the Galapagos, so you can enjoy this trip at any of the year. Nonetheless, there are two seasons in the Galapagos. The dry season runs from June to December with clearer, sunny skies but colder waters. The wet season stretches from January to May, with higher chances of rain and cloudier skies, but much warmer waters that make for a more comfortable snorkelling experience.
