Itinerary in brief:

Day 1: Arrive Darwin
On arrival into Darwin Airport you will be collected and taken by shared transfer to your hotel in Darwin City. Your apartment hotel offers plenty of space for the whole family and located only a 10 minute walk from Darwin waterfront.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in Darwin.
Day 2: Darwin
You have a whole day today to explore the city, we have included admission into Crocosaurus Cove, home to Darwin's most iconic residents, Saltwater Crocodiles. Learn more about these fascinating creatures and experience them up close, there is even the opportunity to hold the baby crocs in a safe environment. A must do family activity!
Head down to the waterfront and cool off in the wave pool before heading to one of Darwins many family friendly restaurants for dinner.
Day 3: Darwin
We have included an afternoon tour today out to the Adelaide River, home to 1600 crocodiles and the location of the famous Jumping Crocodiles! Cruising along you will get to witness these pre-historic creatures up close as you learn more about their history and habitat. Learn more about the wetland ecosystem at the visitor centre and see it for yourself at the Fogg Dam Nature Reserve before heading back to Darwin for the evening.
Day 4: Darwin to Kakadu National Park
Its an early start today as you head out on your 3 day small group adventure into Kakadu National Park. First stop is Litchfield National Park known for its cascading waterfalls and natural beauty. Spend the morning hiking and swimming in the falls, learn about cathedral and magnetic termite mounds with their intricate construction and enjoy a picnic lunch before heading off road into Kakadu National Park.
Your journey takes you past billabongs and across waterways, spot crocodiles, reptiles and the amazing birdlife as you travel. On arrival at the private campsite dinner will be served and stories shared. Accommodation for tonight is permanent tents. An optional upgrade to lodge rooms is also available.
Day 5: Kakadu National Park
After breakfast at the site embark on a wildlife cruise on the famous Yellow Waters billabong. This Aboriginal owned award winning cruise offers a chance to spot the indigenous residents of the area including the saltwater crocodile.
The rest of the day is spent learning more about Aboriginal culture through local rock art and archelogical discoveries some dating as far back as 20,000 years. At the visitor centre gain an insight into rock art from local artists before heading to Ubirr Rock where a local guide will share Aboriginal legends with the group.
Finally, head to the Nadab Lookout for exceptional views out over Arnhem Land and the surrounding floodplains as the sun sets on the horizon. Tonight will be spent back at the campsite.
Day 6: Return to Darwin
Your final day in Kakadu will be spent enjoying two of the most popular sites of the region, the big waterfalls of Jim Jim and Twin, only accessible by 4 wheel drive. A boat shuttle followed by a rocky walking track becomes a worthwhile adventure as you explore this remote and spectacular area of Kakadu National Park.
Bidding Kakadu goodbye you will head back to Darwin, arriving early evening. Your hotel is located near the airport tonight, after a busy few days an early night will be well needed!
Days 7: Depart Darwin
Depart any time today, making your own way to the airport.
