Tayrona National Park boasts some of the most beautiful coastlines in South America. Covering the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain chain in the world, it’s a real hidden gem. The cliffs sink into the ocean like enormous fingers, forming coves and inlets of astounding beauty. Thanks to the sea and mountain ecosystems, there’s a huge variety of flora and fauna to discover as you explore the park.
During this 3 night trip to Tayrona National Park, you’ll take a guided walk through the tropical forest, swim in secluded bays and sleep in a quirky ‘ecohab’ – a comfy hut built along a hillside. It's the perfect addition to a Colombian itinerary if you love natural beauty and wildlife or you simply want to relax by the blue Caribbean.

On arrival at Santa Marta Airport you will be met by your driver and taken to your ‘ecohab’ in Tayrona National park.
The rest of the day is at leisure.
After breakfast this morning, you will take a guided walking tour of the national park with a local guide. As your stroll through the forest spot the abundant birdlife in the trees and if you're lucky, monkeys playing in the branches.
After around 45 minutes, you will reach Arrecifes, one of the park’s most beautiful areas. Continue walking along the coast to La Piscina, a naturally calm stretch of beach ideal for cooling off after your walk with a refreshing dip. Finally, you will continue to El Cabo de San Juan de Guia where you will enjoy some free time on the beach and a packed lunch. In the afternoon, return to your accommodation, grab a drink and watch the sun go down from the comfort of a swinging hammock.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before having a free day to do as you please. Snorkel through the coral reefs off the coast, follow one of the well-marked hiking trails, or simply soak up the sunshine and scenery.
After breakfast, you will be collected and taken to Santa Marta airport for your onward flight.
Tayrona National Park enjoys mild temperatures all year round, so there isn’t a bad time to visit. There are higher levels of rainfall from May to June and September to November, but plenty of sunshine in between showers.
