If you want the ultimate in flexibility and freedom on the road in New Zealand and the comfort of knowing your accommodation costs are all covered upfront - this is the pass for you. This 7 night trip includes car hire and a weeks worth of flexible motel vouchers, this means you can choose where you want to go as you travel, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace.

Accommodation vouchers can be used all over the North Island and South Island.

  • Exchange a voucher for a room – the price is per unit
  • Vouchers are all open dated!

We can recommend an itinerary, or you can make your own. With motels all over the North and South Island of New Zealand you purchase vouchers for the number of nights you want, not for the specific locations.

 

 

Info

New Zealand is a year-round destination and there is always something to see and enjoy whatever time you decide to travel. High season runs from December to February (summer), prices will be at a premium at these times and availability limited so it is advisable to book in advance. March to April and September to November can be a great time to travel as the weather is fine and the crowds fewer. Low season is May to August (winter) for most of New Zealand, this is however the best time for skiing and so ski towns such as Queenstown will be at their busiest.

During peak times in New Zealand we do not recommend that you travel on open dated vouchers as availability is limited at these times. We can help you plan an itinerary and organise your motels in advance to ensure you have a stress free trip!

What's included: 

  • Vouchers for 7 nights Blue standard accom, room only
  • Interislander ferry Wellington to Picton (foot passengers)
  • 8 days car hire – a compact 4 door vehicle to pick up from Auckland Airport, drop off Christchurch Airport
  • All Inclusive car hire insurance
  • Car hire may need to be dropped at Wellington in the North and collected at Picton in the South depending on the vehicle hire company, in which case you will cross as foot passengers)

  • International flights
  • No meals included but breakfast can be a pre-paid upgrade
  • Gold standard motels - pre-pay the upgrade or pay locally (subject to availability)

Accommodation

This itinerary is based on 7 nights of Blue vouchers on a room only basis throughout New Zealand.

Vouchers are offered at ‘Blue’ and ‘Gold’ levels:

  •     Blue equates to 3* motels
  •     Gold equates to 4* motels

All properties are self-catering, motel-style with parking access. Room only and bed & breakfast prices are available.

You can mix and match standards, or you can upgrade to a Gold property at a supplement whilst travelling (subject to availability). All properties featured in this scheme are Qualmark Assured by Tourism New Zealand.
