Depart the UK from your chosen airport. On arrival, you will make your own way to your hotel in Miami Beach, where you’ll check in for three nights.
After a lie in this morning, you will head out to explore the heart of Miami’s Cuban community to check out some historic architectural beauties, as well as a few unique art collections. Of course, you can’t have a Little Havana tour without a true Cuban coffee in-hand, so this tour will take you to find the most delicious dose of caffeine on this side of the Florida Straits. Cortadito is Cuban espresso and paired with a typical Cuban pastry to give you the boost you need to keep moving on your Miami tour!
Next up, another Cuban culture classic: a visit to a classic cigar factory. Witness the art of cigar-rolling from the experts, and take in the one-of-a-kind aroma of the shop. From there, you're off to visit one of the many locally-owned art galleries in the neighbourhood. Hear stories from first-generation immigrants from Cuba, and learn about the influence of Cuban art in Miami. You'll see the important Bay of Pigs monument on route to a favourite local juice bar, where you’ll get to quench your thirst with a dose of sugarcane or mango juice. Continue your stroll down SW 8th Street to experience the Caribbean flavour that fills the air, from the classic Domino Park where locals challenge one another to domino games, to the conga music that’s played live in the streets.
Your Little Havana Adventure will end at one of the neighbourhood’s favourite watering holes for a taste of a classic mojito. Bliss.
Today you are free to enjoy yourself in Miami. Whether that is a visit to Lincoln Road Mall (known locally as just ‘The Road’), which is lined with sidewalk cafés, clubs, and bars, sun yourself on South Beach and watch people rollerblading down Ocean Drive, or explore the art deco buildings from the golden era of architecture. Once the sun goes down, why not grab a cocktail, and treat yourself to dinner at one of the many unique restaurants that occupy the South Beach area. Miami is all about glamour, indulgence, and having a great time.
After a final stroll along Miami Beach, you’ll head back to the airport in time for your flight to Saint Lucia. On arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and taken to your hotel, checking in for seven nights.
The mountainous island of Saint Lucia is the jewel in the crown of the spectacular Caribbean Islands. The majestic Gros Pitons tower over the golden sands, creating perfect views from the beachside hotels. Spend your time here relaxing on the beach, enjoying your hotel, and soaking up the peaceful island atmosphere.
During your time in Saint Lucia, we’ve included a jeep day tour to explore the scenic west coast of the island. Head to Soufriere, home to the majestic Pitons, where your guide will teach you about local history along the way. Take photos from the scenic viewpoints at Marigot Bay, take a refreshing dip in some waterfalls and explore the famous Sulphur Springs. Here you can immerse yourself in the mineral-rich mud pools, heated by the volcano before finishing your trip with a local style lunch.
After breakfast, you will be met and taken to the airport for your flight home.
Saint Lucia has a typical Caribbean climate, with a dry season stretching from December to May, with endless sunshine, dry days and cooler temperatures. The wet season brings humidity and heavy rain that keeps the island lush and green.
