    Day 1: Depart UK

    Days 2-5: Bangkok Stopover        

    Thailand is your first stop, and no trip would be complete without a few days in the iconic city of Bangkok, renowned for its crazy traffic, buzzing vibe and unique culture. You have three nights here to explore the city, visit some of Bangkok’s many temples and eat delicious street food. Make sure you don’t miss the Grand Palace, where the majestic buildings are encrusted with golden tiles and ruby mosaics. Visit the night markets for handmade crafts, grab a cocktail in a rooftop bar and make the most of this 3-night Bangkok stopover.

    Days 5-8: Elephant Hills Safari     

    Head to southern Thailand now for your first wildlife experience. Elephant Hills Camp is located in Khao Sok National Park, part of southern Thailand’s largest stretch of primary rainforest. Made up of two luxury tented camps, Elephant Hills will take you on a journey through Khao Sok. You’ll spend one night between the trees in a luxury tent and another in a floating camp on a lake. During your stay, you’ll meet magnificent Asian elephants, and you’ll be given the opportunity to feed and wash them in a safe and animal-friendly environment. Elephant Hills is a welfare award winner for its work with Asian elephants, so you’re in for an incredible experience.

    Days 8-15: Essential Borneo

    Your next stop is Borneo, Malaysia, known for its rich culture and abundant wildlife, the most famous of which being the orang-utans and other monkey species that call this region home. Our 8-day Borneo adventure ticks off the key highlights, from Kinabalu National Park where you’ll see majestic Mount Kinabalu to the hot springs at Poring for relaxation. A short flight to Sandakan takes you south to the Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre, where you can observe these fascinating creatures up close. Take a cruise down the Kinabatangan River spotting proboscis monkeys as you go, and, in Danum Valley, take a night drive to see nocturnal animals in their natural habitat. Finally, head over to Gaya Island for some time out on a tropical beach.

    Days 15-21: Spectacular Flores & Komodo

    Welcome to Indonesia! Instead of the popular tourist resort on Bali, this unique trip takes you to Flores and Komodo, home to the mysterious Komodo Dragon. Drive through spectacular mountain landscapes, visit beautiful multi-coloured lakes and experience traditional Ngada culture in a homestay at a local village on Flores. Finally sail to Komodo, where the dragons roam freely, some up to 2.6 metres long.

    Days 22-30: Japan winter break: Nagano snow monkeys

    Explore snowy Tokyo and its surrounds during this short Japan winter break. Start in Tokyo, where snowflakes will float through the air as you explore the ancient culture and buzzing modern vibes of this enormous city. From here, head north into the mountains to spot the Nagano snow monkeys taking a steamy dip in the hot springs of Jigokudani Park and explore the artwork of Hokusai in Obuse. Finish your trip with a visit to snow-capped Mount Fuji and stop for gorgeous views of the mountain at the lake below, before returning to Tokyo for a few final days of sushi and sumo – the perfect winter break in Japan.

    Days 32-39: Discover the Yasawa Islands, Fiji  

    You have now arrived in the South Pacific! This week-long adventure takes you out into Fiji’s magnificent Yasawa Island chain. Our Yasawa Island Explorer trip gives you the chance to swim in clear blue lagoons, laze on white sandy beaches and surrender to the island-time lifestyle! Known for its laidback attitude and friendly people, Fiji is a perfect add-on to any round the world adventure. You will explore two islands on this trip as well as the mainland. Take the Yasawa Flyer boat out to your first hotel before spending a week relaxing on the beach, snorkelling in the clear waters and meeting the locals in the nearby Fijian villages.

    Days 40-48: Galapagos Cruise on the Mary Anne       

    Discover the birds and mammals of the Galapagos on this 7-night cruise aboard the Mary Anne, the only 3-masted traditional schooner in the Galapagos Islands. You can look forward to stable sailing with no engine noise, as the ship is powered only by the breeze to the sails. See dolphins jumping the waves close beside you as you sail along on a journey to several islands to spot seals, penguins, turtles, giant tortoises and more.
