Here you’ll enjoy the delights of a week in spectacular Sydney, with plenty of time to explore the surrounding Blue Mountains and nearby wine region of the Hunter Valley. New Zealand promises unsurpassed scenery, relaxing, gentle drives and panoramic views as you road trip along the wine trails sampling some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blanc. From New Zealand, fly to French Polynesia where you’ll be treated to a stay in the South Pacific islands with their luminescent waters, breath-taking beaches and luxurious service.

Day 1: Depart UK

Depart the UK from your chosen airport.


Days 2-7: Johannesburg Safari Stopover

Your first stop is South Africa and a Johannesburg safari stopover, with 5 nights here you have enough time to head out on a ‘Big 5’ game safari. We’ve included a night either side of your safari stay in Johannesburg to give you a chance to explore. ‘Jo’berg’ as it is colloquially known is on the up; its cultural centre including theatres, restaurants, cafes and museums and the inner city has become a haven for tourists. We guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised by the cultural experiences and friendly locals.

Your safari experience takes place at Shepherds Tree Lodge in the Pilanesburg National Park. Here you can spot zebras, lions and elephant while relaxing in beautiful surroundings with all your meals and activities included in your stay. An experience of a lifetime!

Days 8-11: Singapore stopover

We’ve included our Singapore stopover package which includes 3 nights’ accommodation, airport transfers airport and a half-day city tour. In the evening, we recommend you head down to Marina Bay to see the stunning light shows that light up the sky. Why not book an afternoon tea at the iconic Raffles Hotel, or head up to the Long Bar to enjoy a Singapore Sling in the bar where it was created?

Days 12-18: Sydney and Surrounds

Our 7 day Sydney, Blue Mountains & Hunter Valley self-drive gives you 4 days to explore the iconic city of Sydney before taking a short self-drive adventure into the Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley. With the freedom to explore at your own pace, you’ll cover 3 of the main highlights in this region.

Explore this vibrant city and don’t miss Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach. After a few days, pick up your hire car and head into the Blue Mountains, so-named for the bluish haze that blankets the hills from the many eucalyptus trees. From here, visit the wineries of the Hunter Valley for a day’s wine tasting in this well-known wine region.

Days 19-27: New Zealand wine trail

Your self-drive adventure along New Zealand’s wine trail begins with a stay in Auckland before introducing you to the cultural heart of New Zealand. You’ll pass through Rotorua (home of the Hangi feast) before reaching Napier and Hawke’s Bay, an area renowned for its gourmet food, world-class wineries and art-deco architecture. Journey on to the Wairarpa wine region with its lush landscapes and charming boutique wineries. Continuing to the Marlborough Region at the tip of the South Island, where you’ll encounter yet more spectacular scenery and arguably the best wineries in all of New Zealand. Enjoy local wines and sumptuous seafood on your relaxing cruise through the Sounds. Finally, you’ll head down to Blenheim through a rich patchwork of farming land to reach the capital of South Island, Christchurch, to end your New Zealand road trip.

Days 27-36: Society Islands Explorer

Your next stop is in the tropical South Pacific on the iconic islands of French Polynesia. Our 8 night Society Islands Explorer trip takes you on a journey to 3 of the islands in the Society Island chain. Visit Tahiti, Moorea, Raiatea and the most famous of them all - Bora Bora over the course of 9 days and get to experience what makes each of these islands unique. Finish your round the world package on a high with an LA city break. Explore the bright lights of Los Angeles on this 4 day/3 night LA stopover, which includes 3 nights’ accommodation and a city tour.
