Overview
Visit 3 continents in 3 weeks on our round the world holiday with Premium Economy flights. Drive to Vancouver Island on the lookout for grizzly bears and Minke whales before a stay in the remote West Coast Wilderness Lodge. Continue on to Auckland, NZ before driving north to the spectacular Bay of Islands. Finally, contrast everything you’ve seen so far with a taste of Asia on our Hong Kong stopover, complete with a Symphony of Lights cruise. With an upgraded flying experience throughout, you’ll experience a little extra comfort from start to finish!
Canada is your first stop and you will spend a week here on a self-drive exploring around Vancouver Island. During your stay at Knight’s Inlet Lodge, you’ll be perfectly positioned to spot the grizzly bears that call this place home. Besides the beautiful beaches of Tofino, we’ve also included a whale watching cruise before your classic wilderness experience at West Coast Wilderness Lodge, complete with scenic float plane transfers!
Leaving Vancouver behind, you’ll head over to New Zealand next. It’s time for another self-drive adventure, this time into scenic Bay of Islands, a beautiful region that’s right at the top of North Island. Enjoy a whale watching cruise whilst you’re here, before leaving the wide open spaces of New Zealand for your next destination.
To finish your round the world trip, we’ve included a short city break in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Stroll the streets beneath neon signs and towering skyscrapers as you weave between local food stalls and contemporary malls. During the evening, we’ve included a spectacular Symphony of Lights cruise, from where you’ll have the best possible vantage point to see all of the Hong Kong’s nightly laser show!

Itinerary
Day 1: Depart UK
Today you will depart the UK from your chosen airport.
Days 2-11: UK to Vancouver
Depart the UK from your chosen airport.
On arrival in Vancouver, can collect your rental car for the start of your Vancouver Island self-drive adventure. If you’d like to add some nights in Vancouver at the beginning of your trip, just let your consultant know. Your week in Canada takes you to Knight Inlet Lodge to spot the local grizzly bear population and to the beautiful beaches of Tofino. Finally, you’ll stay in Victoria, complete with an included cruise in search of orcas, minke whales, porpoises and other marine wildlife. Your trip ends back in Vancouver where you began.
We’ve also included a trip out to West Coast Wilderness Lodge near Egmont BC, with floatplane transfers to ensure you arrive in style, so look out for whales on the way over! Once you reach the lodge, it’s up to your how you spend your days; join a zodiac cruise or head out on a guided kayak excursion past eagles nests and colonies of sea stars. In the evenings enjoy 3 course meals as you relax into the remote and beautiful surroundings.
*The lodge is only open in the summer months from April to October, at other times of the year we can offer an alternative trip.

Days 11 and 12: Vancouver to Auckland
You will lose time now as you pass over the dateline arriving in Auckland, New Zealand 2 days after you set off.
Days 13-17: Auckland and the Bay of Islands
Welcome to New Zealand where you will spend 5 days exploring New Zealand’s tranquil, northernmost region of Northlands and Bay of Islands on your self-drive. Spend a night in Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’ before driving north towards Bay of Islands; a region encompassing more than 140 sub-tropical islands which is known for its Maori artefacts and unspoiled beaches. Enjoy a dolphin-spotting cruise, a stroll through the local art galleries and a visit to the historic treaty house in Russell.

Offering a captivating blend of old and new Hong Kong presents neon signs and skyscrapers in juxtaposition with local markets and family run street food stalls.
