Itinerary in brief:

Day 1: Depart UK

Depart the UK from your chosen airport.

Included: International business class flights

Day 2: Arrive Bangkok

On arrival in Bangkok, you will be met and driven to your luxury hotel.

Included: Transfers, 5* hotel

Days 3 - 5: Bangkok

You have three full days to explore the exciting city of Bangkok. The first two are yours to enjoy the city; we recommend heading to Chatuchak Weekend Market where you can taste delicious Thai street food and shop for everything from flowers to furniture. Take the boat along the Chao Praya River to Chinatown and take in the hustle and bustle of San Peng Lane before grabbing grilled squid or spicy noodles for lunch.

In the evening, head for a rooftop bar. Your hotel in Bangkok, the Banyan Tree, has a brilliant rooftop bar, where you can drink colourful cocktails, see the sky turn purple as the sun sets and enjoy panoramic views over the twinkling city below.

On your third day, we’ve included a half-day tour of Bangkok’s temples. You’ll visit both the Grand Palace, where the glittering mosaics shine in the sun and Wat Pho, the impressive Reclining Buddha with beautiful mother of pearl feet. After a morning of walking between the temples, we recommend that you spend your final afternoon cooling off in the hotel’s gorgeous rooftop pool.

Day 6: Fly business class to the Maldives

On arrival in the Maldives, you will be met by our representative who will direct you to your speed boat transfer to your island hotel, where you’ll check in for 6 nights.

Days 7 - 11: Maldives

Welcome to the Maldives, a lush nation with a big heart made up of nearly 1,200 tiny islands. We’ve booked you an overwater bungalow at beautiful Velassaru Resort with its own private pool, so you can jump into the turquoise water for a quick snorkel before breakfast or catch a magnificent sunset from your deck.

Spend your days kayaking through the crystal-clear ocean or learning to dive on the colourful reef. In the evening, settle down for a sumptuous dinner, whether you fancy sushi by the sea or a private candlelit dinner on the beach. This is a week in paradise – just lie back and soak it all up.

Included: 5* hotel staying in an overwater bungalow with private pool and full board

Day 12: Depart Maldives

Today is your last day of your luxury Maldives break. You’ll be taken to the airport by speedboat in time to catch your onward flight.

Weather

Monsoon season in Bangkok goes from May to July and lasts into November. This is then followed by a dry period from November to May which provides lower temperatures until mid-Feb followed by much higher temperatures until May. August and September are the rainiest months with chances of flooding.

The Maldives catches the monsoon from Sri Lanka, meaning that the wet season lasts from May to October. The dry season runs from November to April, when prices are higher, but the sun shines all day long. The temperature is consistent all year round, generally somewhere between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius.
