Day 2: Arrive Rio de Janeiro
On arrival at Rio de Janeiro airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 3-night stay.

Day 3: Full Day Corcovado and Sugarloaf with BBQ Lunch
After breakfast, you will join a small group for a tour of Corcovado and Sugarloaf, Rio’s famous and iconic landmarks. During the day you will get your first real taste of the local cuisine with a typical Brazilian barbecue lunch.

Day 4: A gastronomic tour of Rio
Today, we’ve arranged a guided walking tour of Rio’s Lapa and Laranjeiras neighbourhoods visiting the bustling street markets and little bars and restaurants that have been the locals’ favourites for generations. You will get to taste the best of Brazilian cuisine, delicious street food, tasty bar snacks, amazing fruits and juices, unusual Amazonian dishes and drink craft beers and cocktails typical of the country.
The tour will also show you some great street art and other points of interest including the Carioca Aqueduct and Selarón Steps. Your guide will tell you about Rio’s history and life in the city today.

Day 5: Rio de Janeiro to Sao Paulo
You will be collected from your hotel at a suitable time and taken by private transfer to Rio de Janeiro airport for your flight to Sao Paulo. Once you land, you will be met and driven by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 2-night stay.
In the afternoon, we’ve included a half day visit to neighbourhoods known for their gastronomy where you will enjoy a tasting of different dishes.

Day 6: Cooking Class and market visit
Sao Paulo is one of the culinary capitals of Latin America with some of the best restaurants on the continent. This morning you’ll pay a visit to the municipal market or a street fair (depending on the day of the week) with the assistance of a bilingual chef, to buy some fresh ingredients for your cooking class. Witness the colours, banter and vibrancy of a real Brazilian market!
You will then be driven to the kitchen where you’ll learn about menus and hear a little of the history of food and its influence on the culture of this city. While the pots are cooking, you’ll find out how to prepare Brazil’s traditional cocktail – the Caipirinha. Lunch is included today, and it will be a 3-course menu of traditional dishes.
In the evening, you will be taken to a rooftop bar in one of Sao Paulo’s skyscrapers for a Brazilian cocktail.

Day 7: Sao Paulo to Salvador
You will be collected from your hotel and taken by private transfer to Sao Paulo airport for your flight to Salvador. Once you land, you will be met and driven by private transfer to your hotel where you will check in for a 4-night stay.

Day 8: City tour & lunch in Pelourinho
Salvador is one of the most charming cities in Brazil’s northeast and is full of beautifully preserved architecture in its colonial centre. Today you will take a guided visit of the city’s highlights and landmarks and will walk around its historic centre, Pelourinho.
In the afternoon, we’ve included a panoramic city tour and artisanal ice cream tasting while witnessing the marvellous sunset in Solar do Unhão.

Day 9: Cooking class and a nocturnal visit to Rio Vermelho
The wide range of Bahian cuisine is a real festival for the senses: sight, taste and smell. Your culinary experience today begins with a visit to a popular market, to learn about the ingredients that will be used to prepare lunch, which is the subject of your cooking class. The class is taught in either the restaurant or the house of the chef, who will give you all the tips on how to prepare good Bahian food! At the end of the class, lunch will be served. It is time to enjoy your meal!
Salvador has a stall of acarajé in every corner, but to experience the delicacies prepared by the most famous Baianas of the capital, the district of Rio Vermelho is the best address. Here, the most famous and traditional Baianas of the city assemble their stands and begin to sell their delicacies in the afternoon. This is undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions of the neighbourhood and brings together tourists, bohemians, locals and artists.
In the late afternoon, you will go on a guided visit to this district. In addition to savouring the typical dish based on fradinho beans, vatapá and dry shrimp, you’ll take a stroll through this popular, bohemian neighbourhood that in recent years has developed with lively bars and hip restaurants. We’ve included dinner at Casa de Teresa restaurant.

Day 10: Free Day
You now have a full day to explore Salvador. Spend your day walking around re-visiting some of the markets and areas you explored with your guides or if you prefer, visit some of the most beautiful beaches on the outskirts of the city like Morro de Sao Paulo, or Praia do Forte.

Day 11: Depart Salvador
You will be collected from your hotel at a suitable time and taken by private transfer to Salvador airport where you will connect with your onward flight home.
