Days 2-9: Essence of Vietnam
To kick off your trip, we’ve included our Essence of Vietnam journey which takes you from north to South from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Beginning in Hanoi, head out on a Halong Bay cruise – a real highlight of Vietnam and a chance to see some incredible examples of towering limestone karst scenery. Hoi An is next; one of the prettiest towns in Vietnam and the perfect place to wander the narrow streets in search of tailors who will custom make whatever kind of clothing you like! Finally you will visit the capital Ho Chi Minh, home to the war museum; a harrowing glimpse into Vietnam’s recent past, but an essential visit. Just 2 hours away, you’ll get to visit Cai Be - a journey into another world as you meander down the Mekong and watch fruit and veg being traded on the water.
Days 9-12: Singapore stopover
We’ve included our Singapore stopover package which includes 3 nights’ accommodation, airport transfers airport and a half-day city tour. In the evening, we recommend you head down to Marina Bay to see the stunning light shows that light up the sky. Why not book an afternoon tea at the iconic Raffles Hotel, or head up to the Long Bar to enjoy a Singapore Sling in the bar where it was created?
Days 13-17: Cairns stopover package
Welcome to Australia! Your adventure starts in the tropical north with our Cairns Stopover Package. This package includes 4 nights’ accommodation in Port Douglas, located only an hour from Cairns. With its relaxed vibe and long stretches of beach this quintessentially Australian town is the perfect way to enjoy your time here. We have included a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef, a ‘must-do’ in this region! Snorkel with tropical fish and keep your eyes peeled for reef sharks as you experience the most famous reef on the planet.
Days 17-24: Self-Drive Brisbane to Sydney: Pacific Highway road trip
Its time now for your first self-drive adventure; Brisbane to Sydney along the Pacific Highway. After a night in Brisbane, collect your car and head down the coast towards the surfers town of Byron Bay. With its crashing waves and relaxed vibe you’ll feel relaxation sweeping over you! Take part in a whale watching cruise or walk the Cape Byron Track before driving on a little further down the coast first to Coffs Harbour and then to Port Macquarie, two more laidback coastal towns with that are also havens for local wildlife. Two nights in Sydney complete your time in Australia, so why not visit the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge for some perfect snaps and enjoy lunch on the river bank like a true Sydney local?
Days 25-36: New Zealand – Southern Glaciers & Bay of Islands
New Zealand is the next stop on your trip and brings with it another road trip. Here, we’ve included two of our favourite itineraries to help you make the most out of your time in this beautiful country.
Picking up your car in Christchurch for your South Island with Glaciers Road Trip you will head to Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand – well known for its spectacular scenery and extreme sports. A popular trip from Queenstown is a Milford Sounds Cruise, which we’ve also included - be sure to bring your camera as you pass by dense forests, glacial valleys and cascading waterfalls on this stunning nature cruise.
Next, spend 2 nights over on the West Coast in Franz Josef, home to the famous Franz Josef glacier. We have included a glacier walk with an experienced guide who will teach you all about how the glacier came to be as you walk along the glaciers path of retreat. After this, make a beeline for the glacier hot pools, the perfect way to unwind after your walk. The trip finishes where it began in Christchurch where you will then take a domestic flight to Auckland.
From here you will spend 5 days exploring New Zealand’s tranquil, northernmost region of Northlands and Bay of Islands on your self-drive. Spend a night in Auckland, the ‘City of Sails’ before driving north towards Bay of Islands; an enclave encompassing more than 140 sub-tropical islands which is known for its Maori artefacts and unspoiled beaches. Enjoy a dolphin-spotting cruise, a stroll through the local art galleries and a visit to the historic treaty house in Russell.
Days 36-43: Fiji: A boutique week in the Mamanucas
Every trip needs a time for relaxation and this is it – a boutique week in the Mamanucas, an island chain in the South Pacific paradise of Fiji. You’ll be staying on two Fijian islands, both located in the Mamanuca chain and known for their boutique 4* resorts. Lay back, relax on white sandy beaches with a cocktail in hand and take a well-deserved break from all that exploring. Fijians are incredibly friendly so why not join a village visit to discover how the locals live and take part in a Kava Ceremony, a traditional Fijian greeting!
Days 43-46: Los Angeles Stopover
Start your USA leg on a high with an LA city break. Explore the bright lights of Los Angeles on this 4 day/3 night LA stopover, which includes 3 nights’ accommodation and a city tour. Check out the famous handprints that are dotted along the street near the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, spot your favourite stars on the Walk of Fame, shop until you drop Beverley Hills or simply head to the beach one last time!
Days 46-49: New York Stopover
The final destination on this around the world trip package is a New York Stopover in one of the most famous cities in the world. We have included a hop on hop off bus pass for your first day to ensure you get to see all the highlights including Times Square, the Empire State Building and Greenwich Village. We have also included a ‘Top of the Rock’ tour which takes you to the 70th floor of the Rockefeller Centre to the observation deck where you can witness fantastic views of the New York Skyline! There is so much to see and do you may want to extend your time here, remember this trip is fully tailored so ask your consultant to make the perfect trip for you!
