Looked over by the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, Santiago is Chile's largest and capital city! Whether the city is your starting point for an extended trip in Chile or only a stopover on your way around the world, this package is the perfect introduction to Santiago and all it has to offer.

    Day 1: Arrive in Santiago

You will be collected upon arrival at Santiago Airport – after a long flight you will be taken to your hotel to check in for 3 nights. The rest of the day is yours to explore and get lost in the street of Santiago.

Day 2: Half Day Santiago City Tour (pm)

You will be picked up from your hotel to explore the historic and modern sights of Santiago de Chile. You will visit the Alameda Bernardo O’Higgins, Santiago’s main avenue and the Government Palace, also known as La Moneda.

Stretch your legs on a walking tour through the pedestrian streets of Huérfanos and Ahumada, where the main commercial activity of the city is concentrated. Visit the famous Plaza de Armas, the Santa Lucia hill, upon which the Spanish founded Santiago in 1541 and the bohemian quarter of Bellavista, the cultural and artistic neighbourhood of Santiago and Providencia, with its top- restaurants, elegant shops and modern high-rise buildings.

    Day 3: Free day Santiago

Today is a free day to enjoy the culinary and artistic delights of Santiago or make a visit to neighbouring Valparaiso and check out the beautiful architecture.

Santiago's nightlife is exuberant and welcoming, with less of the pretentiousness often found in more European cities. So why not leave those hiking boots and Hawaiian shorts behind and dress your best – this is no occasion to parade your backpacking gear. Just keep in mind that dinner before 9 pm or clubbing before midnight are alien concepts to fashionable Santiaguinos!

    Day 4: Depart Santiago

You will be driven to the airport by a private car to catch your onward flight.
