    Day 1: Depart UK

    Depart the UK from your chosen airport.

    Day 2: Arrive Cape Town

    On arrival into Cape Town airport you will be met by a representative and assisted with your car rental collection. You will then make your own way to your hotel in Camps Bay, perched on the rocks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean you will be surrounded by crashing waves and magnificent sunsets in this 5* boutique property. With complimentary transfers to Camps Bay and the waterfront you are perfectly located to explore the city of Cape Town.

    Days 3 & 4: Cape Town

    You have 2 full days in Cape Town now to learn more about this exciting, vibrant city. These days are free or if you prefer we can organise some activities to ensure you make the most of your time here. Head over to Robben Island to witness where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated in a tiny cell, take a ride up the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for spectacular views across Cape Town or take your car down to the Cape of Good Hope to enjoy some hiking or biking in the Table Mountain National Park.

    Days 5 & 6: Babylonstoren Farm

    It’s time to head out to the winelands now for your 2 night stay at Babylonstoren. This Cape Dutch farmhouse dates back to1962 and has more recently been converted to a working farm and vineyards. Retaining its country charm, this luxury property offers a unique and special experience in the heart of the South African winelands. Meals in the top class restaurant, Babel are all made using fresh produce from the farm and wine tastings offer a chance to sample the locally made tipple. Farm and garden tours are included in the rates and give you an insight into the running of the property. Join the afternoon 4WD tour to enjoy sunset over the farm and with complimentary bicycles located on the property you can spend your days cycling through the vines, relaxing by the lake or enjoying a treatment in the luxurious spa.

    Days 7-10: Plettenburg Bay

    It’s an early start today as you make the 5½ hour journey to Plettenburg Bay, why not take a detour to Oudtshoorn along the way and visit the ostrich farms or stop off in Knysna to enjoy some lunch overlooking the Knysna Quays. On arrival to your hotel you will check in for a 3 night stay, this luxury lodge offers suites tucked away in the forest canopy for a unique and unforgettable experience.

    There are many activities to enjoy in and around Tsala Treetop Lodge, swim with seals, visit nearby monkeyland, get an adrenalin buzz with a sky-dive or simply relax in your infinity pool on the private deck enjoying a glass of fizz and ultimate relaxation!

    Day 11: Fly to Hoedspruit - Drive to Garonga Safari Camp

    After breakfast you will make your way to George airport (approximately a 1½ hour drive) and drop off your car before connecting with your flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival you will collect your car and make the 90 minute journey to Garonga Safari Camp where you will check in for a 2 night stay.

    Day 12: Garonga Safari Camp

    Garonga Safari Camp offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere alongside luxury tented rooms and daily game drives into the reserve. All meals and drinks are included here and the friendly staff are always on hand to assist. Little Garonga provides a more intimate experience with only 3 rooms including a two bedroom lodge with private pool, perfect for families.


    Days 13 & 14: Sabi Sands

    After breakfast get its time to get back on the road and drive the 3 hours to Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge, where you will check in for a 2 night stay.

    Welcome to the ultimate in luxury! This lodge is on a whole other level, with magnificent interior design helping the property blend seamlessly into the surrounding area, 13 luxurious suites and uninterrupted panoramas of bushveld. This property has been named by National Geographic in their ‘Unique Lodges of the World’ category and its not hard to see why, after one night here you will feel calm and restored. Sabi Sabi is renowned for its exceptional game viewing, as an unfenced reserve all animals move freely in and out of Kruger National Park making this a very natural experience.

    The climate in South Africa is mild year round, however there are ‘seasons’ you may want consider when planning your trip along the Garden Route. They tend to experience rainfall during the winter months (June to August) when it tends to be greener all round. The rains come in with a cooler air, last maybe a day or two and are then usually followed by champagne days’ of crystal clear air, blue skies and brilliant colours!

    The summer months (November to February) are usually warm or hot, and during December to January the surf is often at its best due to the south easterly winds.
