You'll visit incredibly scenic, remote areas of Fiji rarely as you head north into the majestic Yasawa Islands and the stunning Modriki and Sacred Islands. Watch the landscape change as you cruise, from the rugged mountains of the Yasawas to the sandy beaches of the Mamanucas, and learn about the traditional Fijian way of life from the local people you will meet along the way.    

    The Fiji Princess ship takes up to 68 passengers and is only 55 metres in length meaning the ship can access bays and islands that would be impossible to reach on a larger ship.     Itinerary in brief:

    • 1 night anchorage at Modriki Island
    • 1 night anchorage at Soso Bay, Naviti Island
    • 1 night anchorage between Naukacuvu & Narara Islands

     

    Day 1: Depart Denarau Marina    

    All aboard! Board the Fiji Princess at Denarau Marina and enjoy afternoon tea as you cruise out to the outer Mamanucas. Your first destination is the secluded island of Modriki, where the Tom Hanks flick ‘Castaway’ was filmed, a real island paradise.

    This evening enjoy cocktails and canapés on the sun deck while watching the sunset over the ocean and celebrate your first day on board.


    Day 2: Cruise to Naviti & Soso Bay     

    Enjoy an early morning snorkel or take a stroll along Modriki Beach before cruising to the waters around Naviti and Soso Bay. After a delicious fresh lunch, you will head ashore for a visit to the Fijian village of Soso where you will be welcomed with a traditional kava ceremony. Take a tour of the town with one of the elders and learn more about traditional and modern Fijian life. This afternoon you will get the opportunity to watch a presentation on the local history and legends.

    This evening back on the boat you will be served a ‘Thali’ buffet dinner and even get the chance to take part in some Bollywood Dancing.  


    Day 3: Cruise to Naukacuva and Narara Islands

    Enjoy a lie in this morning or take an early morning swim before breakfast.  Afterwards, you will be given the opportunity to attend a village church service, this unique experience is a chance to experience local life and is sure to be a highlight of your trip.

    After lunch you will cruise to your next stop, on board, there will be chances to take part in a Fijian cooking lesson or try your hand at basket weaving. The ship will anchor at Naukacuva and Narara Islands, covered in dense forest which reaches right down to the white sandy beaches. The afternoon is free for you to relax, sunbathe or snorkel in the clear waters.

    After cocktails and canapés on the sun deck, a buffet including both Fijian and European dishes will be served before a fun game of bingo and some great prizes!


    Day 4: Return to Denarau

    Take part in an optional fishing trip this morning and work up an appetite before an a la carte breakfast to give you a great start to the day.

    You will have a chance to snorkel, swim or kayak before departing Naukacuva and cruising on to the Sacred Islands. Lunch is served on board overlooking the islands before heading back to the mainland to continue your travels. 


     

    Fiji’s wet season is from November to April with the heaviest rains and highest humidity from December to mid-April. The Dry season goes from May to October with low rainfall, low humidity, milder temperatures and less extreme weather. Peak season in Fiji includes December, January and June, July coinciding with Australian and New Zealand school holidays – prices will peak during these times.
