    Enjoy the trek up to Annapurna Base Camp; through the bamboo and rhododendron forests, across the swaying bridges and over the crisp snow that will appear as you climb higher and higher up the mountain.     Day 1: Arrive in Pokhara

    Arriving in Pokhara, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore this lakeside town. Enjoy the views out of Lake Phewa and have dinner in a local restaurant where spicy dal baht and fluffy steamed rice will be your first introduction to the delicious Nepalese cuisine.

    Day 2: Free day in Pokhara

    Today is yours to enjoy the pretty town of Pokhara, nestled at the edge of the Himalayas. From quirky shops and temples to extreme sports like paragliding and bungee jumping, take your pick whether you want a action packed day or a peaceful stroll by the lake before you begin trekking tomorrow.

    Day 3: Pokhara/Nayapul/Tirkhedhunga

    This morning you’ll be driven from Pokhara to Nayapul to begin your trek to Tirkhedhunga. The walk is fairly easy to begin with, showcasing views over the lush valleys and green forests around you. You’ll stay overnight in a basic lodge in Tikhedhunga after your first day of trekking.

    Day 4: Tikhehunga to Ghorepani

    Today you’ll begin the walk to Ghorepani, up the 3200 stone steps to Ulluri. You’ll see the farm land around you fall away and the landscape change from agricultural land to thick jungle, with deep chasms and tall green peaks around you. Overnight in Ghorepani, a small but pretty town where colourful prayer flags flutter in the breeze as you catch sight of the majestic Himalaya.

    Day 5: Poon Hill/Tadapani

    A very early start will mean you can get started on the excursion trek to Poon Hill, where the sun rises over the mountains and illuminates the stunning vista of the Himalayas from the viewing platform in the cool morning air. After the stunning views of the morning, enjoy the trek along the path to Tadapani through the Rhododendron forests (the national flower of Nepal).

    Day 6: Chhomrong

    Today you’ll trek to Chhomrong, leaving behind Tadapani and its stunning view of Machapuchre (Fishtail Mountain). Enjoy the route past maize terraces and across small bridges towards the pretty village. Pass tall waterfalls and steep terraced farmland before arriving in Chomrong where you can rest before another day of climbing through the hills tomorrow.

    Day 7: Bamboo

    Watch the sunrise over the mountains this morning and, depending on the weather, you should be granted with stunning views of the beautiful peaks of Annapurna South. Today you’ll begin the climb to Bamboo, through the cool shade of the rhododendrons and on into the leafy stalks of bamboo that give the village it’s name. You’ll spend the night here overlooking the green hillsides of the valley.

    Day 8: Deorali

    Look out for monkeys today as you ascend the trail to Deorali – both grey and golden langurs could be lurking in the trees. Take it slow as you climb up the steep ravines – Hinku Cave is a great place to pause for a rest on your way before enjoying dramatic views of the rocky valley below as you continue on to Deorali where you’ll spend the night in a basic lodge

    Day 9: Annapurna Base Camp

    Today is the big day! It’ll be an early start this morning as you start your final walk up to Annapurna Base Camp. Rising through the majestic mountains through the morning, you’ll enjoy the stunning peaks of the Himalayas all around you, finally reaching the camp at 4130 metres. Document your successful ascent with a photograph by the famous sign and enjoy the close up views of the jagged Annapurna Massif that surrounds you. Overnight in a basic lodge.

    Day 10: Himalaya Hotel

    Try and get up before sunrise today, not only will you get magical views of the stars above the mountains but, as the sun begins to rise the soft pink light will hit the snowcapped peaks creating a picture perfect view of the Himalayas. Eventually you’ll begin your descent to the Himalaya Hotel after a stunning day on the roof of the world. Overnight in a basic lodge.

    Day 11: Sinuwa Danda

    Today you’ll continue the trek down the mountains, through the fields of oak, bamboo and thick rhododendrons and across the small streams and bridges. You’ll come across beautiful views out across to Machhapuchhre, where the sunlight makes the mountain shine in all its glory. Arrive in the pretty village of Sinuwa Danda where you’ll spend the night in a basic lodge.

    Day 12: Jhinu

    Continuing on to Jhinu this morning, a colourful village nestled amongst the mountains. Close by are the Jhinu hotsprings, the perfect place to take a dip and relax your muscles after your hard trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Enjoy the clear warm water, surrounded by the lush hillsides and snowy peaks of the mountains. Overnight in  basic lodge.

    Day 13: Tolka

    Rejuvenated by yesterdays hot springs, you’ll begin your final full day of trekking, through the green forests towards Tolka. Cross your final suspension bridges, wonder at the precipitous waterfalls and breathe the clear air that assures you that you are descending back into the valley. In Tolka you can admire the famers working their buffalos along the steep rice terraces and settle down for a peaceful last night of your Annapurna trekking adventure.

    Day 14: Phedi

    This morning you’ll begin your final descent down the staircases to Phedi. Pass through the misty forests and green valley’s along the stone path before emerging in Phedi where you’ll take a bus to Pokhara for a final night in the bustling town, where you can toast to your triumphant ascent to Annapurna Base Camp and the trip of a lifetime to the wonderful kingdom of Nepal.

    Day 15: Pokhara

    Today is your final day in Nepal - you might need a few days to rest after the trek so we can book you an extra couple of nights in Pokhara to relax, or we can book you a transfer to the airport for your onwards flight. 

    The peak time to visit Nepal is March to May, and September to November.  Accommodation is likely to fill early during these months so advance booking is necessary – especially during the popular festivals!
