    Day 1: Depart Papeete

    Your cruise begins on the island of Tahiti where you board the ship MS Paul Gauguin in the afternoon. You will have time to settle into your cabin and relax before enjoying dinner on board. The ship sets sail in the evening.

    Day 2: Huahine

    The first stop is the island of Huahine; known for its lush rainforests, Huahine is often referred to as the ‘Garden Island’. You'll have free time here to explore the island culture, cruise the lagoon or relax on the beach.

    Days 3 & 4: Bora Bora

    A popular destination for honeymooners, Bora Bora has been labelled the most beautiful island in the world and it's not hard to see why! With the majestic Mount Otemanu forming a backdrop to the spectacular lagoon, Bora Bora truly is an island paradise.

    You'll spend two days here with time to explore the island, snorkel in the clear lagoon, take a scenic helicopter ride, or go out on a jet boat at sunset. You'll have the option to overnight at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa.

    On your second day, you can choose to witness the island's famous marine life on a glass bottom boat tour or perhaps take part in an off-road safari fpr more stunning island views.

    Day 5: Rangiroa

    The largest atoll of the Tuamoto Archipelago, Rangiroa is comprises 78 coral atolls scattered over the Eastern Pacific. Life here is simple and peaceful and you'll get the opportunity to experience true Polynesian life for yourself with a visit to the small villages of the island.

    Day 6: Fakarava

    Sailing further into the Tuamoto Islands today, you'll encounter shallow passages in this region which make it a diver's paradise. The island of Fakarava is your next stop, where its diverse eco-system has earned it protection as a UNESCO classed nature reserve. There are two narrow passages where divers can descend to 130 feet and for those who prefer to explore on land, there are many charming villages, temples and a coral church to explore on the mainland.

    Day 7: At Sea

    Spend today on board the ship, relaxing on deck or hearing a lecture from one of the special guests. Tonight you will enjoy classic French cuisine.

    Day 8: Taha’a

    Moto Mahana, located adjacent to Taha’a is an exclusive island just for Paul Gauguin passengers. Spend a full day on the island doing as you please, playing a game of volleyball, snorkelling in the lagoon or relaxing under swaying palms. You can look forward to a delicious al fresco barbeque complete with Polynesian entertainment.

    Day 9: Moorea

    Moorea is a short hop from the mainland of Tahiti and is blessed with and abundance of white sand beaches, spectacular mountain peaks, peaceful lagoons and palm groves that stretch for miles. Take an optional coach trip around the island for more fantastic views.

    Day 10: Return to Papeete

    This morning you can choose to take part in a SCUBA diving excursion amongst the sea turtles and fish that surround the island of Moorea. Alternatively you can relax on shore before casting off for Tahiti where you will spend your final evening.

    Day 11: Depart the ship

    Disembark the Ms Paul Gauguin and transfer to the airport for your onward journey. If you'd like to enjoy a couple more days on dry land in Tahiti, ask us for suggestions.

    The dry season in French Polynesia runs from May to October and this is the best time to visit, the weather is cooler and there is less rainfall. Temperatures rise during the rainy season, which runs from November to April, when weather will generally but humid, cloudy and very wet.

    Peak season is in line with school holidays and is during the months of July and August – it can be tricky getting flights and accommodation at this time.

    This cruise only departs between February - July.
