With its summery, gleaming white, the geometric architecture of Villa Afrikana is already quite a sight. The stylish interior is just as defined in the same perfect white. A modern, unpretentious interior gives the compact Villa Afrikana a surprisingly open feel to its rooms. Look out for the cleverly placed objects and eye-catching artworks by local artist Neil Nieuwoudt.
The Villa encloses six suites, specifically designed for panoramic views, spaciousness and comfort. The suites are wonderfully roomy and all have a fantastic view over the lagoon of Knysna. Each also features a comfortably furnished and very spacious luxury bathroom in cutting edge design with under-floor heating and double washbasin. You ll be sleeping in a comfortable extra length king size double bed fitted with the finest bed linen and feather & down comforters and pillows. To add, the suites hold further surprises, such as a private balcony/terrace and some even a hydro massage tub!
Villa Afrikana does not have its own restaurant, however there are many restaurants and eateries to enjoy nearby. Knysna has a vast range of western, eastern and African-style restaurants capable of delivering for all tastes from contemporary to traditional to experimental ones. All offer meat, game, fish, seafood, vegetarian dishes and of-course Knysna oysters on their menus.
Villa Afrikana has both an outdoor and indoor lounge (with fireplace) for guests use as well as a reading room and library for those evenings when you fancy a quiet night in. For the hot summer days there is an outdoor swimming pool with terrace to relax on.
