Climate in Argentina
Summer in Argentina is from December to February, when the north and Buenos Aires can get very hot. This is the best time to visit Patagonia, so bear this in mind when you’re booking a Round the World trip. Spring and Autumn are good times to visit the north and Buenos Aires, the north is pleasant in Winter (June to August). The ski season starts in June and lasts until October. Sometimes roads are closed in the southern cone during the Winter due to extreme weather conditions.
Visa advice for Argentina
UK Passport holders do not a visa in advance and will be given a 90 day tourist visa on arrival.
Health advice Argentina
Dengue fever is present in the north. Although food hygiene standards are high in Argentina compared to other South American countries, you should still drink bottled water to ensure that you stay healthy on your Round the World trip.
Getting around Argentina
Distances in Argentina are huge and internal flights can save a lot of time, particularly to get to the far north or far south of the country, and may be invaluable in winter when many bus routes to the far south do not run. Trains run on major routes throughout the country and offer a cheaper although slower alternative to buses.
