Travel Nation Free Date Change Service
We know that the ability to change dates on a round the world ticket is very important, especially if you are planning on being away for a long time. To make your trip as hassle free as possible, Travel Nation provides a free date change service once you're travelling (subject to seat availability in the same booking class). The only fees payable by you will be those passed on from the airline or other third parties if they apply.
Why is the Travel Nation Free Date Change Service important ?
Some round the world tickets allow free date changes, others have date change fees that are a basic condition of the ticket. We will of course provide full details of any applicable airline fees when you ask for a quote or book with us. Route changes
Again, with lots of round the world tickets you can also change your route whilst travelling. The new route you choose has to fit in with the conditions of your original ticket and charges do apply. If your ticket is re-routable, we will advise and also indicate the likely costs on your Travel Nation booking form. The exact cost will vary depending on what your new plan is and is calculated on a case by case basis (any new taxes, fuel surcharges and fares for the new route need to be collected). Please remember that airline call centres are often not geared up to for this type of transaction, so it is better to make your way to airline city offices. Alternatively just contact Travel Nation as in the majority of cases we’re able to process the re-route for you.
Route changes can made at any time, though just as with booking your round the world ticket in the first place, the further in advance you do this, the better your chances will be of getting the route and dates you want.
Important note: If you fail to show up for a flight on which you are booked, airline reservation systems are likely to auto-cancel all of your subsequent flights. Whilst these may be re-booked, it may not be possible to get back your old dates. You are advised to let the airline know beforehand if you won't be taking a flight.
