Generally, Phuket has two weather seasons: the Wet Season from MayOctober
and the Hot Season from NovemberApril. There are many sunny days
during the Wet Season and showers usually last no longer than 2-3 hours.
Often September is the wettest month & the best time to travel is
normally November-February.
UK citizens do not require a visa for travel to Thailand for stays of
up to 30 days. Longer stays do require a visa applied for from the embassy
in the UK. You must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after
your departure date from the destination.

One of beach resorts is the island of Phuket, just one hours flight
south of Bangkok. Some of the finest beaches in Asia are complemented
by lush green hills, coconut groves, rubber plantations and a spectacular
choice of resort hotels. Phuket Town is fascinating for its surviving
examples of old Sino-Portuguese architecture and offers good shopping
and entertainment. Patong Beach is the most developed area and will
suit those looking for a kaleidoscope of attractions, while most other
beaches offer a quiet retreat away from the crowds. Numerous international
resorts have been developed on the island but Phuket still offers some
delightfully secluded hotels often with the added bonus of courtesy
shuttle buses to Phuket Town and to the neon nightlife of Patong Beach.
Close to Phuket and easily visited on a day trip are the beautiful Phi
Phi islands and the dramatic limestone scenery of Phang Nga Bay.
